HYCU, Inc. (hereafter referred to as HYCU: Head Office: Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.), a pioneering enterprise software company specializing in data backup, recovery, and monitoring, and Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as DIS: Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto), will provide free and unlimited backup service until June 30, 2020, for new HYCU customers, to support the introduction of telework demanded by Japanese companies.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has asked Japanese companies to accelerate further utilization of telework and staggered commuting, to limit the spread of the new coronavirus in workplaces; and the companies are making efforts to promote these initiatives.
HYCU and DIS will provide new customers purchasing HYCU on-premises software or public cloud services, with HYCU’s backup service, at no charge until June 30, as part of our efforts to minimize coronavirus-related repercussions on Japanese company activities. By rationalizing initial settings, the backup service will help companies reduce costs associated with the transference to telework.

Simon Taylor, CEO of HYCU, Inc., states, “we are not a company that is staying away from a worsening problem. Companies that have launched teleworking systems for their employees, to cope with the ongoing spread of infection by the new coronavirus, are often in the middle of chaos. The least we can do is to help them reduce the costs related to the introduction of teleworking, and provide support to their employees. Our efforts will also eventually support the customers of each company involved.”

Echoing Mr. Taylor's statement, Gurcharan Singh, Territory Manager of HYCU, notes that “now is not the time to wait quietly and expect the best. Many companies are taking action to prevent the virus from spreading among their employees, and we support the efforts of these companies.”

Hiroyuki Matsumoto, Representative Director and President of Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd., states, “we have been making strenuous efforts to promote the spread of telework, from the viewpoint of working-style reforms and risk-management responses. In addition to providing HYCU’s backup software at no charge, we will support the construction of secure teleworking environments by enhancing our system services and support.”
