(hereafter called "the company") recognizes as private information that can identify individuals (hereafter called personal information), such as the names of customers, their addresses, phone numbers, and E-mail addresses. The company considers the protection of such individual privacy as its social responsibility. In terms of practice, all employees of the company and its board members are committed to handling and managing personal information based on the policy of protecting personal information as detailed below. The company handles personal data properly in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Law, other laws and regulations, guidelines formulated by the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan, and other guidelines.

Policy of protecting personal information

  1. The company will strive to properly manage personal information by assigning persons responsible for information management in individual departments that handle customers' personal information.

Purposes of using customers' personal information

The company will handle personal information properly within the scope of the following purposes:

  1. To carry out various contracts with customers such as those concerned with sales, maintenance and outsourcing
  2. To improve or upgrade the quality of the products the company handles and the support and services it provides
  3. To send information to customers concerning seminars sponsored by the company, its product lines, the support and services it provides, as well as its information technology
  4. To provide support and maintenance services for products sold to customers
  5. To send information to customers concerning new products and various sales campaigns
  6. To use personal information for the sales activities of the company, in addition to the purposes listed above
  7. To analyze information obtained from customers’ website browsing and purchasing history to provide services and deliver advertising
  8. To use information obtained from third parties about the customer, such as likes, tastes, and browsing history along with any personal information that we already possess. In such cases we will use the resulting information within the scope of the above-mentioned purposes in addition to obtaining prior approval from each customer

The company may use personal information within the scope necessary for implementing the purposes of its intended use after various contracts with customers have been terminated.

Provision of information to a third party

To achieve the above purposes of use, the company may give a third party personal information without the customer's consent in the following cases only:

  1. Joint use with a group company
    In accordance with its policy of protecting personal information, the company may make joint use of customers' personal information with this group company by restricting the purposes of its use to those indicated above. The items of customers' personal information intended for joint use are all of the customers' personal information the company owns. The items of customers' personal information for joint use are name, address, phone number, e-mail address, company name, department, official position, website browsing history, and buying history, all of which are necessary for the abovementioned purposes.
  2. Use of personal information for outsourcing
    The company may provide customers' personal information to contractors such as door-to-door delivery service companies, or may provide it to contractors within the limits of the above purposes of use.
  3. Use of personal information in accordance with law
    The company may provide personal information to public institutions such as courts and police agencies when the company's disclosure is requested in accordance with the law.

About Individual Number (My Number)

The company may collect Individual Numbers (My Numbers) for the following official purposes in compliance with laws and regulations. However, the company will never handle Individual Numbers beyond the extent necessary to achieve such purposes. The company will comply with laws and regulations related to handling Individual Numbers and deal with them in accordance with the office manual. The company will deal with Individual Numbers properly in compliance not only with laws and regulations but also with office regulations and the office manual.
