DAIWABO INFORMATION SYSTEM Co., Ltd. (below “the Company”) hereby announces that, at the Board of Directors meeting held today, the Company resolved to change its trade name as set forth below, subject to approval at the 44th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders.

DIS CO., LTD.
(2) Scheduled Date of Change
April 1, 2027
(3) The Meaning Behind the New Trade Name
With this change, DAIWABO INFORMATION SYSTEM CO., LTD. will officially adopt ‘DIS’, the abbreviation long familiar to its stakeholders, as its formal company name.
The new name, “DIS CO., LTD.,” goes beyond being the mere abbreviation of its previous name, “DAIWABO INFORMATION SYSTEM”. It incorporates the company’s cherished values and its commitment to the future through the following three words:
The new trade name embodies its strong desire to maximize the potential of IT and contribute to enriching, revitalizing, and energizing local communities in all 47 prefectures of Japan.
Building on its unique “community-based approach” cultivated through the IT product distribution business, as well as “the systems” that enable flexible and speedy customer service, the Company aims to go beyond merely providing products or services. It strives to be a partner that works alongside its clients to address regional challenges, driving forward solutions and co-creating new value.
In this era of rapidly evolving AI and digital technologies, the Company aims to create excitement, smiles, and joy together with its customers and local communities through the wonder and fun that IT brings.
With the new trade name “DIS” as its banner, each and every employee will embody these values, contributing to the growth of the entire Group and the enhancement of corporate value.
(4) Background to the Name Change
The Company’s parent, Daiwabo Holdings Co., Ltd., has continuously driven structural business reforms since adopting a holding company structure in 2009. In 2024, as part of an ongoing optimization of its business portfolio, it moved to spin off Daiwabo Co., Ltd., which oversees the textile business, from the Group.
Seizing this opportunity, the Group set about clarifying anew its purpose and the vision it aspires to, with an eye toward a new leap in growth and a rebuilding of its corporate brand; and it was through this process that the decision to change its trade name was reached.
The Company is likewise proceeding with this name change in accordance with the policy set by Daiwabo Holdings Co., Ltd.
