Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd.
Daiwabo Information System, Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto), hereinafter referred to as DIS, will start to offer a high-speed, low-latency satellite broadband service that utilizes “Starlink.” Starlink is offered by the American aerospace manufacturer SpaceX in collaboration with KDDI Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President CEO: Makoto Takahashi), hereinafter referred to as KDDI.
The background to our launch of the Starlink Business service is our strong intention, not only to offer commonly used wide network areas but also to give companies and municipalities support to respond to their business continuity planning (BCP), construct communication environments for emergencies such as natural disasters, improve their communication environments to support the front line of development, and improve communication environments in remote areas and offshore, where normal radio waves cannot be received. The satellite communication service will be an effective solution in these situations. More specifically, Starlink Business, which uses the low-orbit satellite Starlink, makes it possible to establish communications in environments where communications have previously not been established. Furthermore, the service is expected to be used in various other situations, such as in mountain areas that have no communication environments and for the construction of back-up communication lines in times of disaster.
Characteristics of Starlink Business
・Achieves high-speed and small-delay communications
・Enables connection to the Internet in places that lack communication environments
・Secures a means of communication in times of disaster
We offer three types of plan - Business Fixed Plan, Business Relocation Plan, and Maritime Plan - to meet the diverse requests of Starlink Business customers. We also offer an annual package, which DIS mobile created independently to allow customers to pay their annual communication expenses once a year and to give them an additional purchase option that may best suit their business style.
Through our dealers, we deliver services to all customers, including companies, municipalities, and those who need our services across the country, via a community-based sales system made possible by our sales network, which covers all of Japan.
