Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as DIS; Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto,) will start offering a “DIS Managed Service for AWS,” which will support the management and operation of AWS (Amazon Web Services) inside Japan.
Amid the acceleration of the spread of new working practices using teleworks and the increased uptake of cloud computing for business continuity, both of which were initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic, problems with increased operational load have come to the surface. With the increased use of clouds, user departments have been rapidly?and on their own initiative?constructing servers, and the number of person-hours required for server operation has been increasing. However, the allocation of human resources to the maintenance and operation of IT remains unchanged in many companies, and workloads are rising with the increased operational load.
After its introduction on behalf of customers, the DIS Managed Service for AWS will enable DIS to take care of the management and operation of AWS. This will considerably reduce costs to customers and labor and will improve the convenience of cooperation with business partners.
Services are to be provided under two plans?standard and advanced?and DIS will offer support in the form of help desks, monitoring, responses to failures, and operations on behalf of customers. If the option is selected, DIS will be able to perform tasks scheduled at night or in holiday periods.
DIS offers DIS Managed Service for AWS via iKAZUCHI, which is operated by us to respond to the existing trading infrastructure and cope with traditional Japanese business practices. By this means, we will spread our services among many partner companies and Small and Medium Business(es) in Japan. In addition, with the help of digital tools and content, and web seminars, we will expand our provision of information on technical know-how and our menu for the support of operations workers.
DIS will exhibit the DIS Managed Service for AWS in the AWS booth at DIS World 2023 in Himeji, which is a comprehensive ICT (information and communications technology) exhibition event organized by DIS that is scheduled for 2 days beginning on November 8, 2023.
