Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka, President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto, hereafter referred to as DIS ) has concluded a sponsorship agreement with pro golfer Maiko Wakabayashi who performs brilliantly in golf tournaments held under the auspices of the Japan Ladies Professional Golfers’ Association (JLPGA).
Maiko Wakabayashi passed the professional golf test in 2007 and won her first victory on the JLPGA tour at the age of 20 in 2008. She went on maternity leave in November 2018 and gave birth in April 2019. She returned to the domestic ladies’ golf tour in 2020 and was the winner in 2021. She has continued to play outstandingly as a top-of-the line professional golfer while raising a child.
DIS empathizes with the forward-looking attitude and effort shown by Maiko who has been playing outstandingly while simultaneously raising a child. It has been a trial and error process in a tough environment, and this has inspired DIS to conclude a sponsorship agreement with her.
In recent times, it has become a social challenge to realize a work-life balance best suited to a diverse lifestyle as evidenced by the reform of working practices. As one of Japan’s largest trading companies specializing in information technology, DIS supports not only its employees but also people working in each area in addition to actively promoting initiatives that utilize information technology to solve problems in each area and thus reform work practices and increase operational efficiency throughout the country.
From March 1, 2023, Maiko will play golf wearing a cap and sportswear bearing the DIS logo as shown below.

In this tournament, she achieved a new record at that time of “85 consecutive holes without a bogey”
