Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka, President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto, hereinafter referred to as DIS) has concluded a distributorship agreement for the Japanese market with CYFIRMA K.K. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo Chairman & CEO: Kumar Ritesh, hereinafter referred to as CYFIRMA), and will collaborate with CYFIRMA to sell DeTCT, a next-generation visualization service for external risks in EASM (External Attack Surface Management: understanding and managing IT assets and systems that are open on the Internet). DeTCT is a tool for making objective assessments of IT assets and evaluating corporate vulnerabilities.

With damage caused by cyberattacks on the rise, an increasing number of organizations are obtaining information on hacker groups and utilizing it to upgrade their security systems. At the same time, in addition to knowing their enemies, knowing how a company is seen by its enemies is growing more important for a company to be able to identify the vulnerabilities of its organization as seen by attackers.

Current changes in corporate IT environments, including the shift to the Cloud and promotion of digital transformation (‘DX’) have created situations in which IT assets owned by an organization are directly open to the public, and there may be assets revealed that the IT department is not aware of. As seen in increased cases of VPNs (virtual private networks) used as intrusion routes for ransomware attacks, changes in the IT environment mean larger numbers of potential intrusion routes into organizations. Based on a better awareness of threats to organizations, seeing their own organization from the perspective of their attackers, and knowing how they are seen by their enemies will lead to a lower risk of being targeted for cyberattacks.

Fully aware of the present situation, CYFIRMA has been developing their external threat landscape management services and is offering DeTCT, a platform designed for small- and medium-sized companies that is configured to help them understand which domains are susceptible to attacks from the viewpoint of attackers and to monitor digital risks such as mail address leakage for 24 hours a day, every day.
