Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka, President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto, hereafter referred to as DIS) has concluded a partnership agreement with Amazon Web Services Japan K.K. (hereafter referred to as AWS) aimed at the public sector (public institutions), and begun to offer services developed by AWS for the public sector, in the Japanese domestic market.

This agreement enables DIS to offer cloud services developed by AWS to government agencies, local governments, educational institutions, and medical institutions, through its dealers, as a distributor. At the same time, DIS will offer to its dealers sales support tailored to the public sector, utilizing the AWS public sector distribution program.

Cloud introduction has recently been gaining momentum in Japan’s central government ministries and agencies, against the background of the government’s cloud-by-default principle. With the accelerating need for cloud introduction in local governments, educational institutions, and medical institutions, an urgent need has arisen to construct a system for the introduction, operation, and support of cloud functionality throughout the country.

In collaboration with AWS, DIS will contribute to the digitalization of the Japanese domestic public market by facilitating the shift to cloud functionality in local governments, educational institutions, and medical institutions nationwide, with the aid of the community-based sales system DIS has established through its roughly 90 sales bases covering every corner of the country, and its network of around 19,000 dealers in Japan.
