Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as DIS: Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Yoshihiro Nogami) announces that it joined the Consortium for Promoting the Introduction of Telework on May 28, 2019.
The Consortium for Promoting the Introduction of Telework aims to contribute to the further spread of telework in the region, mainly among small- and medium-sized companies, by holding seminars on telework for management, providing consulting, and offering telework tools.
In joining the consortium, DIS will support small- and medium-sized companies across the country in introducing telework, by providing know-how that it has accumulated as an IT distributor, and community-based service and support that it has developed through its network of roughly 90 sales bases covering every corner of Japan.
On the Consortium for Promoting the Introduction of Telework (excerpt from the charter)
Japan’s decreasing productive-age population, attributable to the increasing effects of low birthrate and longevity, has become a major social issue lately, and there is grave concern that it may signficantly affect small- and medium-sized companies in the region. In these circumstances, the government places importance on securing productive-age population and improving labor productivity by reforming working practices and revolutionizing productivity using telework. In light of this, the Consortium for Promoting the Introduction of Telework was established to contribute to solving these social issues and achieving “Society 5.0” by spreading telework among small- and medium-sized companies in the region. The consortium seeks to spread and promote telework, especially among such companies, through collaboration between members of the Telework Promotion Forum1), which includes special cooperating organizations from Telework Days 2018. Specifically, it holds seminars on telework for management of small- and medium-sized companies in each region, provides consulting, and offers the “Smart Telework Package2)”.
On the role of DIS
DIS packages hardware, cloud applications, and services vital for introducing telework, and offers these using the know-how it has accumulated as an IT distributor. At the same time, it will support companies planning to introduce telework, by offering indispensable expertise at the time of introduction. Working together with regional dealers through its roughly 90 sales bases across the country, we will contribute to the further spread of telework through educational campaigns, by holding seminars and events and providing various support services to promote the introduction of telework throughout the country.

Participating members include the Japan Telework Association, the Japan Telework Society, and private companies.
2) Packaged material illustrating business scenarios where telework creates effective solutions, and introducing various support measures for the introduction of telework, such as formulating guidelines, establishing model working regulations, and offering telework tools, to help small- and medium-sized companies solve the variety of problems they typically face.
