Notice of co-sponsorship of the exhibition, “The Supreme Ruler in the Age of Dinosaurs’ Civil War – Triceratops”, at the Osaka Museum of Natural History |
March 3, 2014 |
As part of our cultural and social contribution program, Daiwabo Information System will co-sponsor the exhibition, "The Supreme Ruler in the Age of Dinosaurs' Civil War - Triceratops", hosted by the Yomiuri Shimbun. The exhibition explores mysteries surrounding the origin and evolution of the herbivorous dinosaur Triceratops and its members, which diversified and thrived on the continent of Laramidia, created by the east-west division of the North American continent in the Late Cretaceous Period, the last period of the age of dinosaurs. The triceratops migrated from Asia as a latecomer among dinosaurs. In a similar manner to domination in the civil war period in Japan, it came to dominate the entire region by steadily and systematically eliminating other dinosaur species in the sub-regions, until finally emerging as the supreme ruler in the age of dinosaurs' civil war. The exhibition presents a rich assortment of specimens displayed in Japan for the first time, and dynamic skeletons of the dinosaur's entire body. |
