Notice of Co-Sponsorship of "Luminous Jewels - Masterpieces of Asian Art from the Seattle Art Museum" |

As part of our cultural and social contribution program, Daiwabo Information System will co-sponsor "Luminous Jewels - Masterpieces of Asian Art from the Seattle Art Museum" organized by the Yomiuri Shimbun. The Seattle Art Museum is celebrating its 76th anniversary this year, and has been exhibiting and fostering masterpieces of Asian art as its main collections. In this exhibition, held in Seattle's sister city of Kobe, about 100 artworks carefully selected from some 7,000 masterpieces held by the Seattle Art Museum will be on display. In the part of the exhibition devoted to Japanese art, visitors will be able to enjoy the homecoming of the "Urashima Makie Tebako (Urashima's Gold-relief Treasure Box), which is known as "Urashima's Treasure Box," and the "Crow Screen" which is a painting on folding screens with overwhelming presence. In addition, masterpieces from countries including China, Korea and India will be exhibited. The exhibits are organized like a treasure box filled with masterpieces from different countries and ages. |
