As part of our cultural and social contribution program, Daiwabo Information System will co-sponsor the "The Louvre Museum Exhibition: Master Paintings of 17th Century Europe" organized by the Yomiuri Shimbun. The exhibition will introduce sixty 17th century masterpieces from the Louvre Museum collection. The exhibits will include works by Rembrandt and Pieter Paul Rubens and also Johannes Vermeer's famous work "The Lacemaker," all of which will be displayed in Japan for the first time. Art historians refer to the 17th century as the "Golden Age". The exhibition will display a comprehensive selection of 17th century paintings and also use them to highlight the multifaceted historical background of 17th century Europe. |
