As part of our cultural and social contribution program, Daiwabo Information System will co-sponsor the "Paintings of Korea's Joseon Dynasty and Japan:The Art of a Neighboring Kingdom that Inspired Sotatsu, Taiga and Jakuchu." organized by the Yomiuri Shimbun. This is the first exhibition to be held in Japan that enables visitors to take a general look at paintings from the period of Korean Dynasties together with paintings by the general public and documents related to a Korean congratulatory mission. It will also exhibit a total of 150 modern paintings from the Muromachi period including works by Sotatsu Tawaraya, Taiga Ikeno, and Jakuchu Ito, all of which are believed to have been influenced by the Korean paintings to be exhibited. |
