Strengthening the alliance with Hitachi on sales expansion of servers

Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (DIS; Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Hirokazu Matsumoto) and Hitachi, Ltd. (Hitachi; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuo Furukawa) will open the Hitachi Server Solution Center on 26 February. DIS and Hitachi jointly established the center to strengthen the alliance between the two companies for the purpose of expanding sales of Hitachi's servers and helping the companies with their efforts to introduce and operate servers.

The Hitachi Server Solution Center staffed by specialists' with seasoned knowledge of Hitachi's servers and related products. Responding to inquiries coming from DIS's customers via DIS's Sales Department, they provide advice on proper product combinations and support to build system architectures to meet individual needs.

By improving and upgrading the system to answer inquiries coming from DIS's Sales Department promptly and precisely, DIS will actively extend assistance in the introduction and operation of servers to companies where demand for servers is growing.

The strengthened sales support system embodied by the Hitachi Server Support Center will not only allow for expansion of sales of Hitachi's severs; it will also strengthen the center's ability to propose and sell systems that combine servers and such server-related products as optional, backup, and external storages, as well as security-related products.

The center also has a system to support clients' sales and the sales of client-related products besides servers to expand business by improving customer satisfaction with the help of one-stop support for clients and servers.

We are planning to build a system to allow the center to satisfy customers' needs for information security solutions and system operation management solutions. We expect that this system will also strengthen the center's ability to sell and support high-value-added servers (such as the blade servers that Hitachi is emphasizing) and security-related products (such as JP1/Hibun, Hitachi's software product aimed at preventing information leaks).

Furthermore, the two companies will promote community-based marketing activities, making the best use of the branches and business offices that they have across the country, and will make greater efforts to improve customer satisfaction by expanding the scope of alliance to such areas as effective sales promotion and the development of sales partners.
