Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (abbreviated "DIS"; head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President: Hirokazu Matsumoto) has added environmental information required for green purchases (purchases of environmentally friendly products) to its business-to-business electronic commerce system iDATEN.

Recently, DIS added environmental information to the product information of its business-to-business electronic commerce system iDATEN, which connects computer and peripheral device dealers over the Internet. The environmental information allows purchasers to confirm that a product is environmentally friendly. <Included Environmental Information> 1. Indication of whether or not the product is compliant with the Green Purchase Law (i.e., Law Concerning the Promotion of Procurement of Eco-Friendly Goods and Services by the State and Other Entities) 2. Ecolabel (Type 1 environmental label according to ISO 14024) 3. International Energy Star 4. PC Green Label 5. GPN (Green Purchase Network) 6. Environmental assertion mark The new environmental information can be used as one of the search criteria when a user performs a product search. This will allow purchasers to avoid spending time investigating whether each product is environmentally friendly, making it easier to execute green purchases. Later, environmental information will also be added to the categories of Peripheral Equipment, Household Electronics, and Expendables.
