1. Organizational Reforms

A new division called the "Consumer Affairs Division" was established
within the Marketing Sector in order to expand wholesale transactions with computer
retailers and volume sellers and to offer uniform strategies and more finely tailored
customer services. Additionally, the Apple Sales Development Section was incorporated
into the Consumer Affairs Division.

To accommodate the increasing variety of products handled in our information
equipment wholesale business, the following departments within the marketing sector
were renamed (new names shown to right of arrow): East Japan PC Division. East
Japan Division, Metropolitan PC Division. Metropolitan Division, Chubu PC Division.
Chubu Division, Kansai PC Division. Kansai Division, Chugoku-Shikoku PC Division.
Chugoku-Shikoku Division, Kyushu PC Division. Kyushu Division.

The Purchasing Sector was renamed the "Sales Promotion Sector"
and the marketing functions of the sector will be strengthened. Also, the departments
that made up the Purchasing Sector were reorganized into the following departments
within the Sales Promotion Sector: Sales Promotion Coordination Department, PC
Sales Promotion Department, and PS Sales Promotion Department.

The EDP System Department was renamed the "System Promotion Department"
so that the department can handle a wider range of system affairs, including e-business
promotion and the like.
