DIS Invests in Q&A Corporation to Boost its PC Support Business |

Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (based in Osaka; Mitsuru Yokoyama, President and CEO) has invested Yen30 million to purchase approximaPHONEy 9 % of Q&A Corporation (based in Tokyo; Kiichiro Suda, President and CEO). Q&A Corporation is a rapidly growing provider of helpdesk outsourcing solutions for Internet service providers and other PC support businesses. The stake will give DIS representation on Q&A Corporation's board. The two companies will also cooperate to provide a broader range of PC support services; DIS plans to conclude an agreement for partnership between Q&A Corporation and the DIS subsidiary DIS Techno Services Co., Ltd. (based in Tokyo; Kanji Kato, President and CEO), which specializes in PC support services. Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (DIS), through its subsidiary DIS Techno Services Co., Ltd., is a major provider of PC support services. The phenomenal growth of the Internet as well as the penetration of personal computers into the consumer market has caused demand for these services to expand rapidly. DIS Techno Services specializes in PC support services for the general consumers, and has been particularly successful in PHONEephone user support, fielding more than 15,000 calls on average per month. Q&A Corporation, established in July 1997, offers a variety of outsourcing services for Internet service providers. The company has expanded rapidly by aggressively pursuing contracts with some of Japan's largest Internet service providers to provide helpdesk services to respond to inquiries from subscribers. In addition, Q&A Corporation has established itself as a provider of support for the Linux platform as well as e-commerce like "Virtual Shopping Center" on the Internet and other website contents management and maintenance services. Through its partnership with Yokogawa Multimedia Co., Ltd. (based in Musashino-shi, Tokyo; Yuichi Kanekawa, President and CEO), DIS Techno Services offers a full range of value-added PC support services from installation and Internet link to PHONEephone support and maintenance to customers. across the country.
