|EMC Japan has concluded an agreement with Daiwabo Information System regarding membership of its Velocity Partner Program to support the sales of all EMC products with a focus on the "EMC CLARiX" series|

|EMC Japan K.K. (hereafter referred to as EMC Japan, Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Toshio Morohoshi, URL: http://www.japan.emc.com/) and Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as DIS, head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President: Hirokazu Matsumoto, URL: http://www.pc-daiwabo.co.jp/english/index.html) have concluded an agreement regarding membership of the "Velocity Partner Program", namely EMC Japan's program for supporting its partners' sales activities. This agreement allows DIS to become a primary distributor and to start selling all EMC products through its national network of sales bases with a focus on the "EMC® CLARiX®" series storage system designed for small- and medium-sized companies.
DIS announced the "Development and Expansion of New Business" as one of the fundamental planks of its medium-term business plan 'VISION 2010' published in March 2008. DIS believes that EMC products are vital to the implementation of its mission to become an excellent partner with customers and suppliers by together creating new value with respect to IT utilization. This is one of the reasons for its decision to ally itself with EMC Japan and sell EMC products as a sales partner. DIS is proud of its community-based business with 90 sales bases and 14 distribution bases across the country. The alliance with DIS will allow EMC Japan to further strengthen its marketing activities by utilizing DIS's marketing resources. DIS will also provide information on EMC products through the iDATEN, which is DIS's extranet provided exclusively for DIS members.
